1980 TR8 Efi1123 viewsThe top , the battery and plugs are new. I took it out for a short ride the other day.
It has sat in my garage for a long time and so the fuel system needs some cleaning and a tune up. The idle is a little rough.
The electrical system seems ok except the turn signals. I put in all new parts so the problem is in the
wiring harness somewhere. I havn't taken the time to track it down and havn't got the energy!
The engine is fuel injected. The oil pan leaks. The car has never been in an accident. Paint is original.
Over all, the car is in fairly good shape and someone could make the repairs easily, I think. I am getting to the point where I won't be
driving any more for health reasons. My asking price is $5,200.00 US.

900 viewsThis one has been in California for 17 years and was in the garage for the last 10 or so. It has 49,400 miles on it and is registered and smog checked. It has had $4000 worth of work done on it to get it running but still needs plenty of restoration. It has new brakes and a new radiator, fuel pump, and lots of new pipes and hoses. The whole front end is new. It now runs – you know – but it still may overheat. It is a British car after all. It has AC but I haven’t done anything to get it working. This car was manufactured as a California spec LHD With cathalyst and all the other gadgets. It was then exported to the Leyland maindealer i sweden for evaluation of a possible introduction on the swedish market. This never happened and the car was put in storage till 2005 when I bought it with 7200 miles on the ODO. It has since been carefully recomissioned and runs beautifully. I have converted it to SU carbs and stainless steel sport exhaust (for the sound) but all original parts are there and in good shape including factory new catalyst. Want to sell to finance restoration of Jag E-type and MGA but have no idea of what the value might be in the states. Give me a clue someone. More pics. avaliable on request.

Now it has 74k miles. This car drives great, runs great, looks great! it has been extremely reliable and has also been well maintained. Only driven on nice days, stored all winters, (with no rust - ever). In 2001 and 2002 the car was mechanically and cosmetically refreshed with no expense spared and still looks better than new today.

This car was rebuilt 3 years ago with new: struts, shocks, brakes, tie rod ends, drive shaft, carpet, top, paint, tires, & Miata seats. The V8 and transmission were installed by me, and this car has been my reliable daily driver since. The car needs an ignition switch and a larger radiator, as it will run hot in the summer in town driving. It will not run hot on the open road and has never over heated. This would also be an excellent candidate for return to an original TR7 as there have not been any changes to the original body. The original engine and 5 speed transmission are included in this sale (both need rebuilding).
